Graduating JCTC students are invited to participate in the college’s annual Graduation Speaker Contest to be held at 11 a.m., April 1 on the Downtown Campus.
The winning speaker will be awarded $100 and the 2016 Maria B. Miller Speech award and will represent the Class of 2016 by speaking at the Graduation Ceremony May 10 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
Qualified students must be graduating sophomores. The speech should be 3 minutes long and addressed to the President, Provost, Guest Speaker, faculty and other graduates and family members.
The content should be about achievements of the class and how Jefferson has helped you and other graduates accomplish goals.
The speech must be delivered in person; no video will be accepted.
The contest will be held in Seminary Hall, Room 103 (The wing closest to First Street). Please arrive a few minutes prior to 10 a.m.
