African-American students honored for academic achievement
|
Thirty-four Jefferson Community College students were honored March 31 during the annual African-American Students of Excellence Awards program on the college’s Downtown Campus.

College receives money toward critical upgrades
|
The needs are obvious. Labs need to be upgraded and expanded to accommodate a waiting list of healthcare students. Sections of a historic building are deteriorating and unusable.
But on Thursday, March 31, several members of Jefferson County’s legislative delegation presented a check to the college for $600,000, which begins the process of upgrading and restoring two buildings on Jefferson Community College’s Downtown Campus. |

Associate degree programs added in Criminal Justice, Horticulture
|
|
Beginning with the Fall 2005 semester, Jefferson Community and Technical College students will have two additional degree options, following approval by the Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Regents earlier this month. |
