Changes in U of L Business Degree

JCTC Business students planning to transfer to the University of Louisville should see an advisor about important changes in the program.

Changes in the U of L Business Program begin in the summer 2010:

  • Students are required to have (and maintain) a 3.0 GPA for admission to the UofL College of Business.
  • Students in the Marketing, Equine Business, Finance, CIS and Accounting program must take Calculus 1 (MT 175) or Brief Calculus (MT 170).  Finite math (MT 165) will  no longer be required.
  • KCTCS students transferring in Summer or Fall 2010 who have completed BOTH MT 150 and MT 165 will be exempted from the Calculus requirement for these majors.
  • ALL Economics majors continue to be required to take Calculus 1 (MT 175).
  • Logic (PHI 120) will no longer be required for Business majors but will count as an elective for the program so is not a wasted class.
