Financial Aid

Many students at Jefferson apply for financial assistance from the U.S. government to help them pay for school.  The application for financial aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  People call it the FAFSA.  You must fill out the FAFSA in order to find out if the government has money to help you pay for school.  It can take many weeks for your application to be processed, so apply as early as you can.

U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees, parolees, asylees, and Cuban-Haitian entrants are eligible to apply for federal financial aid. Apply on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov or you can also contact the International Admissions Office for information on where to go if you need help completing your financial aid application.  Allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing.

Please visit Jefferson’s Financial Aid Office’s web page for more information. There you will find details about the different types of financial aid, information about who may qualify for financial aid, an 10 important facts about financial aid.
