English as a Second Language (ESL)

En Español ]

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program is designed for students who want to improve their existing English skills. Students enroll in the ESL Program to prepare for college-level courses at the College and to improve their ability to communicate in the workplace and community. ESL classes work on skills in reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary and conversation.

Classes start in January (spring semester) and August (fall semester). Occasionally there are a few classes offered in the short summer session (June). Students may take classes in the evening or morning. Each class is about 1 hour and 15 minutes long, and will meet 2 times every week. Students can take 1, 2, 3, 4 or sometimes 5 classes in each semester. Students who take more classes may end up meeting 4 times every week.
