Student Organizations

• Academic Team
  • JCTC is a member of the Kentucky Collegiate Quick Recall League (KCQRL)
• African American Student Union
  • To meet the needs of African American students at JCTC.
• Art Club
  • The JCTC Art club is an organization of students interested in furthering their knowledge of art through art activities.
• Disability Awareness 
  • The Disability Awareness Organization (DAO) is open to anyone, students, faculty, or staff, who is interested in disability issues.
• Drama Club 
  • The Drama Club is a student organization whose goal is to present one play a semester for the entertainment and enjoyment of the students, the faculty, and the administration at Jefferson and the residents of the community.
• English Club
  • The English Club serves as an interactive social and educational outlet for students who are interested in promoting literacy and supporting activities that contribute to creative and professional development opportunities.
• International Club
  • The International Club at JCTC strives to increase diversity awareness and acceptance, bring attention to global events, celebrate various cultures and bring together people of different backgrounds.
• J-Board
  • The J-Board has original jurisdiction over cases involving alleged violations by students and the state college disciplinary offenses listed in the Student Code of Conduct Handbook.
• Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • The purpose of AlphaBetaGamma is to provide academic support, to promote and encourage professional development activities and to facilitate networking opportunities for students.
• Parent Support Group
  • The group is dedicated to assisting parents who are also students.
• Pathways To Freedom
  • This is a support group for students who are in recovery from addiction or students interested in addiction issues.
• Phi Theta Kappa
  • The organization is dedicated to student scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.
• Psi Beta
  • This is the National Honor Society in Psychology
• Serenity 
  • This is a student organization developed with the purpose to share our experiences, strength and hope with other students who may want help with drug and/or alcohol problems.
• Single Parent Student Organization
  • This organization was formed to offer support to single parenting students at JCTC.
• Student Ambassador program
  • The Student Ambassador program was established in 2006 to enhance student involvement at JCTC.
• Student Appeals Committee
  • The College Appeals Board has appellate jurisdiction over all decisions of the College Judicial Board (J-Board) and over decisions of any faculty members on matters of college academic offenses.
• Student Government Association
  • The Student Government Association is the voice for the students at the Carrollton Campus.
• Student Occupational Therapy Assistant Club
  • The mission of the Student Occupational Therapy Assistant Club (SOTAC) is to advance its members professional growth through community service, fellowship, advocating for Occupational Therapy Assistants, and further learning opportunities.
• Student Senate
  • The Senate's purpose is to further student interest and facilitate leadership by providing direct input into polices relating to academic affairs and student life; providing student input into available campus services and activities; providing meaningful educational, social, cultural, and service opportunities for students; and fostering constructive communication and interaction among the different segments of the campus community.
