Stafford Loan

Stafford Loan Step-by-Step Instructions:

Once your aid is complete, JCTC will place your eligible loan amount on your account. Remember, you must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours to receive a student loan.

You must then do the following three (3) steps:

  1. Accept/reduce/decline the loans through your self-service.
  2. You must complete a Master Promissory Note online at www.studentloans.gov.
  3. You must complete Entrance Loan Counseling online at www.studentloans.gov.

You may electronically sign the MPN using your FSA ID. This is the same FSAID used to sign your FAFSA electronically. If misplaced, you may register for a new FSA ID at www.fsaid.ed.gov.
