Scholarship Opportunities – Application Deadline, Friday, October 6 – Act Quick

Funding for these two scholarships has become available. Applications for these scholarships are being accepted until Friday, October 6. Completed applications should be returned to the Financial Aid office or emailed to Awards will be applied for the current semester and the Spring 2018 term.

  • KCTCS Workforce Development/Transfer Scholarship

    • Open to students attending Jefferson for the first time in the Fall 2017 semester. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, and math), health program, career pathway programs, teacher shortage areas, or applied science. Students must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA that is reasonable to promote student academic success and transfer. Recipients must plan to earn an associate degree (AA, AS, or AAS) at JCTC and to transfer to an accredited Kentucky public or independent four-year institution.

  • Kentucky Colonels Better Life Scholarship

    • Open to Jefferson students with a full-time enrollment status, who are single parents with at least one child under the age of 12, and are first-time college students (for the Fall 2017 term). Must demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is renewable for a second year if the awardees maintain full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of their degree.
    • Application for the Kentucky Colonels Better Life Scholarship

Jefferson offers numerous scholarships to both new and currently enrolled students.

    • Then, print or pick up an application at your campuses Financial Aid office. 
      • A separate application is required for each scholarship.
    • *Scholarship applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)/ by the scholarship application deadline.
