For many students, college would not be possible without Jefferson's lower tuition, convenient campuses and expansive network of academic and social support. For others, Jefferson is the link to better jobs and important careers.
For the community, Jefferson is integral to ensuring a highly qualified and ready workforce, and is a significant player in the economic development for the region.
Through the generous support of donors, Jefferson's students have access to programs, scholarships, equipment and facilities that would not be possible otherwise.
The Jefferson Advancement Office strives to secure private gifts benefiting students, faculty, staff, programs and outreach. The Office works hand-in-hand with Jefferson Community and Technical College Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization, whose mission is to raise fund and support Jefferson Community & Technical College.
Your investment can be applied to:
- Scholarships
- Student Emergency Fund (under development)

Why Private Support?
Community and technical colleges in Kentucky enroll nearly half of all undergraduate students but historically receive only 21 percent of state tax appropriations to higher education.
While state appropriations provide funding for basic operations, the types of academic opportunities that make Jefferson Community & Technical College truly exceptional must come from private sources.
Critically, as state appropriations have decreased, the tuition burden on students has increased.
Private sector funds provide the critical margin of excellence for Jefferson to fulfill its mission to enhance the quality of life and employability of our community's citizens.
All gifts to Jefferson Community & Technical College and the Foundation are tax deductible.
