Criminal Justice

The field of criminal justice has evolved from being "just a job" to a "career" requiring complex skills and knowledge. The criminal justice program at Jefferson Community and Technical College provides students with a strong academic program that includes courses related to human behavior, government, communications, theories in policing, corrections, as well as issues and ethical considerations pertaining to practitioners within the criminal justice system. The general education and criminal justice courses will transfer to both the University of Louisville and Eastern Kentucky University.

Currently these options are being offered in this degree program:

  • Criminal Justice,
  • Law Enforcement,
  • Corrections, and
  • Security & Loss Prevention options, or
  • a certificate in Computer Forensics.
