Community Support

Community leaders actively support Jefferson and its critical mission to provide access to higher education and to support the region's economic development efforts.

The time is now for schools like Jefferson Community & Technical College. A high school degree is just not cutting it and people are turning to JCTC. That is why the attention and enthusiasm around JCTC is unparallel and well deserved.

- Louisville Metro Mayor Greg Fischer

With access to fewer public funds, colleges like Jefferson are depending on business and industry to step up to the plate to ensure that students are able to received state-of-the-art training. We simply can t take it for granted any more. The best way business and industry can help ensure that tomorrow s graduates are the employees we want to hire, is to get involved with JCTC and support it.

Our Metropolitan College partnership with Jefferson Community & Technical College and the University of Louisville is incomparable in its ability to positively affect both workforce-retention and college-attainment rates. UPS relies on JCTC's ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing workforce needs.

-Tom Volta, UPS

Carroll County is fortunate in our community to meet the needs of students in Carroll and surrounding counties. The college also has developed customized training program in specialized areas needed in our manufacturing facility. This cooperation has helped advanced the education level of employees, along with providing valuable skills needed by local industry to continue to grow their businesses here in Kentucky. We looked at JCTC as a valuable source for providing a qualified workforce for our company.
