
Jefferson Communication Arts Technology students win ADDY awards

Students in Jefferson's Communication Arts Technology program recently earned recognition for their creative work, winning 10 ADDY Awards in the American Advertising Awards-Louisville Competition.
The winners were revealed at the annual ADDY Awards Gala hosted by AAF-Louisville on Feb. 26. The event celebrates outstanding creative work produced during the 2025 advertising year.
Jefferson CAT students won one Gold ADDY, 3 Judges' Choice ADDY Awards, and six Silver ADDYs. This is the second year in a row that the program's students have won awards in the animation category.
Jose Perez Cespedes won a Gold ADDY Award for his Four Roses Bourbon photo in the Elements of Advertising: Photography category.
Jonathan Mattingly won multiple honors, including a Judges' Choice ADDY Award and a Silver ADDY Award for his Michael Jackson Fantasy Concert Animated Ad in the Online/Interactive category. He also received a Judges' Choice ADDY Award and a Silver ADDY Award for his Off the Court Sports Bar Brand Manual in the Printed Annual Report or Brochure category, along with a Silver ADDY Award for his Off the Court Sports Bar Animated Logo in the Online/Interactive category.
Paxton Barnard won a Judges' Choice ADDY Award and a Silver ADDY Award for her Scream Stream Brand Manual in the Printed Annual Report or Brochure category.
Parker Cummins won a Silver ADDY Award for his Archives Book Design in the Publication Design category.
The students' winning entries will now advance to the District 5 level of the AAF in late March, where their work will compete against top student work from Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
Jefferson congratulates the CAT students for their impressive accomplishments and wishes them the best of luck as they advance to the district competition.
