Jefferson announces new director of marketing, public relations and special projects
Jefferson Community and Technical College President Ty Handy has announced the hiring of Ben Jackey as director of marketing, public relations and special projects. Reporting to the president, Jackey will join Jefferson on September 28.
Jackey will be responsible for the management of college communications and public relations campaigns, projects, and events.
It's an honor to join the college's new leadership team as we chart a course for Jefferson which will strengthen its position as a driver for economic growth in our community said Jackey.
Prior to his appointment at Jefferson, Jackey worked at Jefferson County Public Schools where he oversaw media and public relations in addition to video production. He has been a television news journalist for ten years and has received Emmy awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Ben is a true expert in strategic communications said Dr. Handy. His background and guidance will be critical as the college moves forward.
