
JCTC names new chief financial officer
Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) has hired a new Chief Financial Officer
who brings over two decades of financial experience in higher education and healthcare.
Gary Dryden comes to JCTC after most recently serving as the chief business officer
at the University Of Michigan s School Of Information.
JCTC President Dr. Ty Handy announced the hire effective Sept. 19. Dryden will be
responsible for the financial management and business affairs functions of the college,
including the areas of college facilities and maintenance, human resources and payroll.
Prior to working for University of Michigan, Dryden managed the annual operating
and capital budgets as the controller for Floyd Memorial Medical Group. From 2000
to 2013 he served as the Assistant Dean for Finance at the University of Louisville
s School of Dentistry.
Gary's comprehensive background and experience in higher education administration
and finance made him an excellent choice for Jefferson said President Handy. I look
forward to him joining our leadership team. As a member of the college's leadership
team, Dryden will assist in the development the college s strategic plan and support
the college s mission through budget and resource allocation.

Dryden earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Louisville
and is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education administration from
the University of Louisville.
