Studying at a JCTC Skills U center is always FREE.  We will supply you with all the tools to meet your goals. The GED Ready Test is $6 a subject, but as our student it is FREE.  As of March 12, 2021 the GED Test ($30/subject) is also FREE  for a limited time. Ask your center about scholarships available to help pay for the test when the promotion ends. 

Every student is different based on their learning needs. It all depends on YOU. We highly recommend students spend about at least 4 hours studying towards their goal every week. The more you study and ask for help, the quicker it will go.

Eligible students are those individuals who:

•  Have attained 16 years of age;
   Are not enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under State law and who:
  •  are basic-skills deficient
     
  • do not have a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent and have not achieved an equivalent level of education; and/or
     
  • is an English language learner
