Ready to Work Program
Ready to Work (RTW) is a program developed through a partnership between the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), and Department for Community Based Services (DCBS).
Ready to Work is designed to assist eligible Jefferson students in the Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP).
We can help if you receive KTAP benefits and:
- Need to complete a GED or high school degree
- Are enrolled at Jefferson Community & Technical College
- Owe a bill to a post-secondary institution
This program can offer you either on campus or off campus work through a work-study program. The income doesn’t reduce your KTAP benefit.
In addition to work-study, our staff can provide you with Employment skills training and assist you in accessing transportation assistance, day care, uniforms and a laptop.
Office Location
The RTW Office is located on the Downtown Campus in room 111 of Chestnut Hall. Chestnut Hall is located at 110 W. Chestnut Street, Louisville, KY 40202.
