A2C Accelerate to College
WHAT IS A2C?
The Accelerate 2 College program gives high school students the opportunity to prepare
for the college learning experience. Through A2C, students can take developmental
English and mathematics courses in the high school classroom, taught by a high school
teacher. After successfully completing an A2C class, students will be considered college
ready at Jefferson and can qualify to take dual credit courses.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
- Demonstrate college readiness without
needing ACT or other test scores - Count your A2C class towards high
school graduation - Save money on college tuition
- Qualify to take dual credit classes
after completing A2C and get a head
start on college - Save time and earn a college
degree faster
IMPORTANT INFO
- Grades earned in A2C will be part of
your college transcript - Your grades and/or withdrawals can
impact your future financial aid - You will earn credit that demonstrates
college-readiness at JCTC but
does not satisfy college degree
requirements - Some colleges may not accept A2C
credit towards college-readiness
