Registration and Payment Guide

Enrollment CHecklist

  1. Complete the application for admission online.
  2. If you’re a first-time freshmen, send in your official high school transcript or GED transcript to Jefferson-Admissions@kctcs.edu. If you’re transferring to Jefferson, send in all your official transcripts from a regionally accredited college/university.
  3. Submit your test scores to Jefferson-Admissions@kctcs.edu. If you have not taken a college entrance exam or met benchmark with your GPA, sign up for placement testing.
  4. Apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA.
  5. Pay for your classes before the deadline each semester. If you have questions, email JF-BursarOffice-Main@kctcs.edu.

Advising

Don’t know what classes you want to take? Use our Visual Schedule Builder to look up a list of available courses. You can access the Visual Schedule Builder through your Student Self-Service Account. You can also set up an appointment with the Advising Center by emailing JF-Advising-Center@KCTCS.edu or visiting the Advising Center website.

Financial Aid

Complete the FAFSA and have it to sent to Jefferson (school code 006961). You will be notified of your aid status in Student Self Service. You may be offered grants and/or loan options. Check frequently and contact Financial Aid with questions at Jefferson-FinancialAid@KCTCS.edu.

Payment is always due the Friday before classes start. If you have not received aid by the Friday before classes start, you must enroll in a payment plan or pay the tuition out of pocket even if you expect to receive aid later. If you are not comfortable paying out of pocket, you may drop your classes no later than the end of the drop/add period to avoid tuition charges.

Payment is always due the Friday before classes start. After you are enrolled, view and pay your bill online through MyPath > Student Self Service > Account Balance. Self-pay in full or set up an official payment plan in your Student Self Service > Account Balance tile. Select “Make a Payment” and choose a payment option from the dropdown list.

Textbook and Course Materials

For textbooks and course material, go to the KCTCS Bookstore and choose a department, the course, and the section for each class. Not sure which department or course you’re in? Check your schedule and registration form. Rent or buy the materials you need.
