Arrival Information
When traveling to the U.S., be sure to carry your Form I-20 and financial support documents along with your passport. Do not pack these items in your checked luggage—you will need them at the U.S. port of entry.
Upon arrival, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will create an I-94 Arrival/Departure Record, which may be issued as a paper card or recorded electronically. You can access your electronic I-94 record through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website. This record is used to track your entry into the U.S., determine the length of your authorized stay, and document your departure.
Once you arrive in Kentucky, you must report to the International Admissions Office at Jefferson as soon as possible. The office will need to photocopy your F-1 visa and review your I-94 Arrival/Departure Record. You will also receive important information about the New F-1 Student Orientation and how to register for classes.
Please note: Tuition payment is due by the first day of class, so be sure to plan and transfer any necessary funds to the U.S. in advance.
