
MAX - Maximizing Wellness
Maximizing Wellness (MAX) is a wellness-focused initiative designed to enhance the
academic, mental, social, and personal well-being of all students at Jefferson utilizing
the wellness wheel. The MAX Initiative aims to position student wellness as the foundation
for academic and personal growth. MAX takes a holistic approach to ensure student
success, offering an array of resources such as educational and wellness programs,
access to campus and community wellness resources, peer led initiatives, assistance
with non-academic barriers, and leadership opportunities. MAX is a key resource in
helping students develop healthy habits, manage stress, and connect with their community.
Students will be supported through:
- Educational and Health & Wellness Programming: Workshops, cohort model-based lunch and learns, and seminars on health and wellness, academic skills, time management and more.
- Addressing Non-Academic Barriers: Provide resources for mental and physical health, and other non-academic challenges that may impede student success.
- Community Engagement Opportunities: Opportunities to engage with community and connect to community resources
- Enrichment activities
- Forming lasting connections with peers, faculty, and staff
