
Transfer Guidelines by Student Type
Prospective Students

Evaluation of coursework will occur during the first semester as a Jefferson Community and Technical College student.

Prior to a student s first semester students should meet with an Advisor for assistance registering and understanding how their transfer credit applies to their Jefferson academic program.
Visiting

Although no evaluation of transfer work occurs, copies of unofficial transcripts are necessary to enter organized classes with pre-requisites.

You will need to submit a visiting student letter from your home college or university prior to enrollment.
Non-Degree Seeking Students

Although no evaluation of transfer work occurs, copies of unofficial transcripts are necessary to enter organized classes with pre-requisites.

Official transcripts are required during your first semester for your Admission file to be complete.
Entering Transfer Students

Evaluation of transfer work occurs during the first semester of enrollment for all degree seeking Jefferson transfer students.

Students will be able to view established equivalencies on their PeopleSoft account under View my Transfer Credit.
Prior Transfer Students

All coursework and transfer work entered prior to Fall 2004 is viewable only as the total number of hours posted, not as a course by course equivalencies.

If a student only sees a number of hours but cannot see any courses or JCTC equivalents please contact your evaluator.

Transfer credit that is posted in Legacy cannot be entered in a course by course manner.
