Apply as a transfer student if you have earned college credits from another college or university. If you haven't taken college classes or you have only taken college classes through dual credit in high school, apply as a first-time freshman.
How to Apply & Complete your Admissions File
It’s easy to transfer to Jefferson, and we’re here to help. Just follow these four steps:

To get started, you'll need:
- An email address that we can use to contact you.
- Name and address of the high school and colleges you have attended.
You can order your transcripts online or ask your college’s records office to send them to us. They can be sent in the following formats:
- Submitted electronically (faxes and email attachments are not accepted) through a secure, password-protected site (i.e. National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment)
- Mailed directly from the previous college to the mailing address below:

- Hand-delivered in the original, signed and sealed envelope, please note print date must be within the last 6 months (if opened by the student, the transcript is unofficial).
Refer to your school's website for information on how to request a transcript.
We will need a course-by-course (line-by-line) transcript evaluation from a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member. Please have your evaluation completed by one of the agencies listed on this website.
If you plan to transfer to a four year university after Jefferson, World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) is recommended.
