Jefferson is transitioning bookstore and course material services to a new provider. As part of this change, Barnes & Noble College will continue operating campus bookstores for the Spring 2026 semester, while preparations begin for our new partner, BibliU. Learn more about the transition to BibliU here.
Jefferson Community and Technical College has contracted with Barnes and Noble to operate its bookstores. Jefferson Bookstore is located on the first floor of the JEC Building on the Downtown Campus. Carrollton, Jefferson Technical, Southwest, and Shelby campuses are handled through the Downtown Campus location, or they can be purchased online and delivered to your doorstep.
Want to order online?
You’ll need your class schedule to order your course materials. Make sure you choose the correct campus because this is where your order will be sent.
Shipping Method: Choose ground shipping (not expedited) for typical 1-business-day transit within KY, IN, and most of OH.
Order Confirmation: After placing an online order, you’ll receive an automatic confirmation email.
Fulfillment Times: During peak periods, fulfillment may take up to 72 hours.
Weekend Orders: Orders placed outside store hours will be processed on the next business day.
Remember, if you have any questions about your online order, provide your order number for faster assistance.
Bookstore Charges Using Financial Aid
Students whose financial aid exceeds their charges and who have signed a Financial Aid/Bookstore Release form may make purchases from either our campus or online. To verify that you have completed the Bookstore Release form, please log into your Student Self-Service account or contact the Financial Aid office for assistance. Note that once you complete this form, it can take up to 72 hours for funds to be available to charge. This only needs to be completed once.
There is an automated bookstore charge process that allows eligible students to make charges at the bookstore or online without contacting the Financial Aid Office first. Automated bookstore charges will be available the week before classes start until the end of the 2nd week of classes. After the end of the automated charge period, contact the Financial Aid Office. If you are eligible for a voucher, one will be sent to the bookstore on your behalf.
If your first classes in the semester do not begin until the 12-week or 2nd 8-week session, please contact the Financial Aid Office to request a voucher once it is within 10 calendar days of the beginning of your first class(es) of the semester.

Don't forget to return it!
If you rented a textbook from the Jefferson Bookstore and want to return it, please follow the instructions below:
- Return in person to the Jefferson Campus Bookstore during regular business hours.
- Return your rental to the Jefferson Bookstore by using the UPS return label from the
bookstore website. Log in to your account and complete the process before the rental
return date. Visit the UPS website to find your nearest drop-off location.
- You will need to know the email you placed your order with and your order number. Your order number was emailed to you when your order was placed.
