Transfer Academic Program Plans
Jefferson Community and Technical College has worked together with area colleges and universities to create Academic Program Plans (APPs) for students who intend to transfer and complete a Bachelor's degree in various majors.
While general education classes may transfer for students, many degree programs have very specific courses that they wish students to complete in their first two years of their education.
APPs help students select the best courses to take at Jefferson before they transfer. APPs allow students to earn an Associate degree at Jefferson and then transfer as a junior without taking any extra classes for the majority of the degree programs.
All transfer students should work with a Transfer Center advisor or plan on meeting with a representative from their selected college at the Transfer Center while at Jefferson. Transfer advisors are available at all campuses.
Students planning to transfer to the University of Louisville students should contact the ULtra office.
Students who are uncertain about which institution they wish to transfer to may set up an account to Collegefish to select and compare various different colleges.
Students may also refer to the KCTCS catalog for other courses which could meet graduation requirements. Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
