Financial Aid Major Update

Not all programs offered are aid eligible programs. To receive financial aid, students must declare a program of study that requires at least 16 credit hours for completion AND at least 15 weeks of study for completion.

Students in an Undecided or Pending program of study are not in an eligible program, therefore are not eligible for federal student aid. For assistance, please meet with an Academic Advisor for guidance in this area. If you are still unsure if your major is correct, please visit your home campus advising office or email jf-advising-center@kctcs.edu for an appointment.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD WORK WITH THEIR ADVISOR TO CREATE AN APPROPRIATE ACADEMIC PROGRAM PLAN PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR CLASSES.
